New Drake Videos

Been a minute since we had a Drake update here...Lemme just post some quick videos.

Money to Blow: Video directed by Gil Green. Although the visual actually made me like the song even more, and beat sounds sicker with the visual (shouts to Drumma Boy), it was brought to my attention by a fellow producer that the video actually did have way too many cuts, and color correction was off. I went back to watch and realized he was right. The picture actually seemed pretty dull, but that's from a technical/critical perspective. I like the vid, nonetheless.


Forever: I love the visual and effects of this video. Hype Williams went big like always. Kanye with the pyrotechnics lol... Hot shit... Shouts to Boi-1da on the beat!


Digital Girl: I just plain out like Drake's verse on this one. He played off the digital theme really well with the software and chatting references. Real clever. Kanye fuckin killed it too... he does that shit so effortless now.

Drake - Successful ft. Trey Songz

The video is so dope. Filmed in the streets of Toronto. The visual matches the audio perfectly. Jake Davis should go ahead and direct all of Drakes videos lol. Trey's verse was epic on there, it ended nicely also. And Oliver did his thing as wardrobe coordinator; their gear is on point. Great product. Only thing is Drake's body language looks a lil unnatural like he's trying too hard.

As I was casually browsing the web, I decided to stop at Octobers Very Own to see what was new. I'm excited to see that they are shooting a video for my favorite song from the 'So Far Gone' tape. And even more excited about the director, Jake Davis. This guy has an eye for excellence along with an intricate mind which, together, makes for something monumental. I've been following his blog since either late 2008 or early this year. I advice fashion-heads to follow also. He always has some interesting posts and views about various things. BUT ANYHOW, back to Drake's vid. Here are a few pics from the video shoot.

I wonder who does her production, it's always different, distinct, epic, and on point. Good job on the production side of things, I'm sure she did her thing on the vocal side of things also.
